Vickysworld is the illustration work of Vicky Scott, a freelance Illustrator and collage artist originally from London, now living in Sheffield. At the age of 5 she had already decided that she wanted to be an artist and throughout her time at school and college fell in love with the work of early 20th century art movements (Art Noveau, Art Deco), William Morris, London Underground posters and psychedelic album covers of the 60's. She studied Art Foundation at Wimbledon School of Art before completing her BA in Illustration at the University of Brighton.

After graduating she got her first break designing Christmas cards for Paperchase and a range of cards for the Almanac Gallery. Since then, she has worked on a diverse range of projects including posters for Cheltenham Festivals, an album cover for Stereovenus (featuring singer Rumer), several huge murals for charities including Wild in Art, App Illustrations for Microsoft and magazine illustrations for the Radio Times. Her proudest moments so far have been painting on a model of an elephant (or 2) to raise funds for her favourite wild animal: the Asian elephant and creating an album cover for one of her favourite bands, Now.

Her style is graphic, colourful, nostalgic and quirky, often characterized by including animals, hidden details and a narrative element. She finds inspiration almost anywhere; from the natural world and her urban surroundings, to stylish Art Deco architecture, psychedelic posters of the 60's and the wallpapers of William Morris. Her illustrations are created using a variety of techniques including drawing, paper collage, paint and Photoshop, whilst maintaining the same eye catching and uplifting feel in all her designs.
